May Christ's peace be in your heart!

"Be transformed by the renewal of your mind."

Romans 12:2

Trad Recovery was established to provide a support group network for those coming from various forms of Traditionalism* and seeking full integration into the Catholic Church, including those in need of personal healing after suffering religious trauma or spiritual abuse in Traditionalist environments. We provide resources and helpful educational material for our community members and also for anyone seeking to better understand the impact of Traditionalism on the Church, and how to minister to those affected by it.

*By Traditionalism we here refer to an ideology that includes rejection of or suspicion of the entirety or parts of the Magisterium from the Second Vatican Council up to the present day, as well as the reform of the Roman Rite. We believe that to be authentically Catholic is to be "traditional"; however "Traditionalism" takes that love for older usages a step further, fostering schismatic attitudes and behaviors that tear apart, rather than build up, the Body of Christ.

"A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy;

I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly."

John 10:10

For a number of reasons, those coming from years spent imbibing a Traditionalist ideology often struggle with confusion, anger and pain. We hope this site and community can provide the answers and formation you seek, as well as encouragement and support. You are not alone! Here you can join hundreds of other Catholics world-wide who have travelled a road similar to yours, find answers to your questions, encouragement, spiritual invigoration and holy friendship!

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete."

John 15:11

Signing up at TradRecovery.com is free! While we are eager for you to have full access to all our content, please note that we are primarily a support group for people who are unpacking challenging or negative experiences they have had because of time spent in or contact with Traditionalism, and we seek to provide help for those individuals to be able to heal and move forward in their lives as joyful and fully integrated Catholics! Consequently, we limit our member base to those who can truly relate and personally benefit from that support and sharing. In addition, some of the stories shared by members are very personal; out of respect for that vulnerability, it's important that you are prepared to honor the privacy of the other members as you peruse those pages. It's also important that we get to know just a little bit about you and what brings you here, so we can be the best support possible for you personally! In our custom sign-up form there is room to write a little introduction; please fill that out and submit it! We are excited to meet you!
